Zitna stud is situated next to the national park ""Bavarian Forest/Bohemian Forest" on the Czech side of the border, near to Germany and Austria. Zitna stud extends across 100 hectares surface area and owns a farm building builddating back to in 1909 and constructed in the royal style, where nowadays the main breeding stock of the Zitna breed is accommodated








Keeping: The solidly built stables are bathed in light and offer the best possible conditions for horse keeping.Our horses daily spend several hours on our large pastures.

Breeding programm:
Zitna stud takes part in the breeding programme of the Bavarian breeding association of Germany and runs a well-known stallion keeping that has elite stallions, premium stallions and stallions with outstanding sport performances in dressage, show jumping and eventing. Zitna ponies achieved winnings in dressage, show jumping and eventing on national and international level.

Agriculture: The horse feed used in Zitna stud comes mainly from the stud-owned agriculturefields.

Special horse feed additives like minerals and vitamines are a daily part in of the individual orientated composition of the horse feeding in Zitna. Periodical treatment of the horses with deformers as well as a conscientious tending of the pastures is an additionally support of the horses' health

Training: The farm area also contains an indoor riding hall arena with a stand for visitors and several training grounds for the training of the stud-owned young horses and sport horses.
